Kevin Hees is an American, self-taught artist who specializes in beauty and fashion. His artistic repertoire includes hair, makeup  and photography which he is able to enhance through the use of his unrivaled digital retouching style. Hees has a multi-modal approach to fashion, photography, and art which allows him to facilitate his unique visions. 

Kevin’s early career began in Dallas, Texas, where, after completing several modeling contracts worldwide, he decided to focus his energy on photography within the local market before making the move to Los Angeles.  After spending some time building contacts and burrowing his way into the ever-changing and highly competitive fashion scene in LA, he landed a dream job at E! Entertainment where he worked as a key makeup artist to all on-air talent. During his time at E, Kevin worked with celebs such as Aisha Tyler, Steve Kmetko, Brooke Burke, Jules Asner and major celebrity guests. This experience thrust him into the spotlight in time for awards season where he prepped clients for The Academy Awards, The Emmy’s The Grammy’s, MTV Music Awards, VH1 Awards and The Golden Globes. As Kevin’s momentum among LA’s “who’s who” kept growing, so did his photography career. A career that ultimately afforded him the opportunity to shoot superstars such as Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Amy Smart, Lisa Marie Presley & Bill Belemy to name a few.

After 12 years in Los Angeles, Kevin decided to make the move to New York City to attend to his retail and commercial clients’ on-set hair, makeup & photography needs. Kevin began working for RR Donnelly Studios which housed Belk Department Stores,  and other prestige brands including Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch and Macy’s. One of Kevin’s most prized experiences in NYC was when he was hired as the Head of Visual Artisty, for Kevyn Aucoin Beauty.  During this time Kevin's work on the Bloodrose Expert Lip Color and Bloodrose Nail Enamel global campaign which was featured in Barney’s prestigious store windows.  Also during this time in NYC Kevin was honored to work with supermodels such as Jordan Dunn, Joan Smalls, Emily Donato, Chad White, Simon Nissman, Blain Cook, Kerry Dewgan & Linda Evangelista.

In 2010, his work culminated in the development of the Hees Brand which creates products that inspire and educate positivity and bravery.The Hees Brand recently launched it’s BE BRAVE BE YOU campaign. Kevin returned to the West Coast full-time, where he worked with Jane Cosmetics & Stila Cosmetics which rounded out a decade-long relationship. Kevin’s three-pronged approach to fashion has aided him in the creation of some of the industries most glamorous global ad campaigns. Kevin now divides his time between L.A. & N.Y.C. continuing to grow his global brand.
